About me

My name is Dominic Scholfield, and I give people advice on lowering emissions from transport. My work ranges from advising local and national government on strategy and policy around transport decarbonisation, through to helping commercial fleets make sense of all the new vehicle and fuel options available.

In the past I’ve worked as a campaigner, a corporate consultant, and a social entrepreneur (I founded a business that recycled bicycles). The challenge of reducing the social and environmental impact from movement of people and goods is vast and complex – with no single solution. At a broad level, I believe we must be willing to combine two basic approaches – more efficient vehicles and fuels, plus serious efforts to reduce the overall demand for transportation.
